

SUMMARY:
The combined effects of Northeast Monsoon and development of TC SENYAR (previously INVEST 95B) have resulted in significant rainfall, triggering widespread flooding and landslides across northern Sumatra (Indonesia), Peninsular Malaysia, and southern Thailand. In Indonesia, BNPB reports approximately 1.1M people affected and 290.7K displaced, with 442 fatalities, 402 individuals still reported missing, and 646 injured across Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra (BNPB – Press conference on 30 November 2025 at 18:00 UTC+7). According to NADMA, as of 30 Nov at 15:00 UTC+7, a total of 5.7K families (18.7K persons) displaced to 168 evacuation centres across Peninsular Malaysia. Meanwhile, in Thailand, as of 30 Nov at 06:00 UTC+7, flooding continues across nine provinces in the southern region, affecting approximately 1.2M families (2.9M persons), with 168 fatalities reported (DDPM).
