
Disasters for April 2025
For April 2025, 207 disasters were reported in the ASEAN region. Based on this figure, an average of 7 significant disasters occurred in the region per day in April 2025. These reported significant disasters occurred in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. The highest number of reported disaster occurrences was Indonesia with a total of 110 reported significant disasters. This number was 2x more than the five-year average (2020-2024) disaster occurrences in Indonesia for April and accounted for 53.14% of all recorded disasters in the region for this reporting period. Other affected member states with their corresponding share of reported disasters were Malaysia (2.42%), the Philippines (4.83%), Thailand (28.99%), and Viet Nam (10.63%).
