Call for Submission for 5th Edition of ARMOR
The AHA Centre invites aspiring experts, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and entrepreneurs from ASEAN Member States and those working in the ASEAN region to contribute articles for the 5th Edition of the ASEAN Risk Monitor and Disaster Management Review (ARMOR).
Building on the growing complexity of disaster risks, particularly transboundary hazards intensified by climate change, the ARMOR 5th Edition, themed “Beyond Borders: Expanding the Horizons of Disaster Management in ASEAN,” will explore how ASEAN can strengthen cross-border collaboration, resilience beyond national boundaries, and promote innovative disaster management solutions across sectors and disciplines. It focuses on the urgent need for regional cooperation that transcends geographical and institutional borders, aligning with the visions of the AADMER Work Programme 2021–2025, the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015–2030), and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while contributing to ASEAN’s post-2025 disaster management framework. Articles are expected to highlight lessons learned, policy and stakeholder cooperation mechanisms, technological and social innovations, and regional risk assessments to support a forward-looking approach toward building collective resilience across the ASEAN region.
All submitted chapters will undergo a peer-review process led by the ARMOR 5th Edition Board of Editors and Board of Reviewers. Interested authors are invited to submit an Expression of Interest, which should include the proposed chapter title, an abstract of up to 300 words, and a short author profile of no more than 50 words. Expressions of Interest must be submitted by Monday, 30 June 2025, by email to armor@ahacentre.org. Authors are encouraged to refer to the theme for ARMOR 5th Edition and the Authors’ Guidelines provided.
