BANGKOK, 8 JUNE 2024. On 4-8 June 2024, the AHA Centre held the Training on Crisis Communication and Social Media Utilisation for Disaster Management in Bangkok, Thailand.
Through the training, 34 participants from the ASEAN Member States, Timor-Leste, ASEAN Secretariat and AHA Centre learned to identify crises & strategies to handle them, leverage social media in disaster management & mitigation, and identify the best social media platforms for their needs.
The training was hosted by the Thailand Department of Disaster Prevention & Mitigation (DDPM) and supported by the European Union through the Integrated Programme in Enhancing the Capacity of AHA Centre and ASEAN Emergency Response Mechanisms (EU-SAHA).
