Co-organised by the AHA Centre and Viet Nam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority (VDDMA) with support from the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund, the ASEAN-ERAT Level 2 Course on Civil-Military Coordination was held on 17-21 March 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.
The course brought together 16 participants from across the region to deepen their expertise in civil-military coordination for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations.
The training focused on equipping ASEAN-ERAT members with the knowledge and skills needed to serve as Civil-Military Coordination Specialists, implementing the ASEAN Civil-Military Coordination Framework and strengthening collaboration between civilian and military actors in emergency response.
Through interactive sessions, simulations, and expert-led discussions, participants enhanced their capacity to support coordinated, effective, and timely disaster response efforts across ASEAN.
