#ARDEX2023 was officially started on 1 August 2023

#ARDEX2023 was officially started on 1 August 2023 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia!

More than 180 players from 9 ASEAN Member States and over 500 national and local players gathered in Yogyakarta to test elements and mechanisms of disaster and emergency response SOP in ASEAN. This marks ARDEX as the biggest disaster and emergency response simulation exercise in the ASEAN region.

The first day of #ARDEX2023 started with the academic session and Tabletop Exercise (TTX) and closed with the After-Action Review (AAR). The Command Post Exercise (CPX) and Field Training Exercise (FTX) will be scheduled on 3 August in Bantul, Yogyakarta, which will also conclude the whole exercise.

#ARDEX2023 was organised by @bnpb_indonesia and the AHA Centre with the support from the European Union through EU-SAHA Project.

From 29-30 July 2023, 12 dedicated members of the ASEAN-ERAT participated in a crucial ASEAN-ERAT Refresher Course in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The primary aim was to strengthen their understanding of ASEAN and international mechanisms and services for disaster response, gearing up for the ASEAN Regional Disaster Emergency Response Exercise 2023 (ARDEX-23).

The #ASEAN Humanitarian Logistics Training Curriculum - Officer Level is now available on the AHA Centre website!

The modular training programme comprises 5 modules covering essential topics on #humanitarianlogistics, aiming to equip officer-level practitioners working in the #development and emergency context with knowledge on relevant #logistics and support functions.

Held in Singapore on 17-19 July 2023, the 3rd AIM-

Held in Singapore on 17-19 July 2023, the 3rd AIM-Net Meeting and Workshop was attended by representatives of the ASEAN National Disaster Management Organisations, the Singapore Civil Defence Force, and ASEAN Secretariat.

The Meeting and Workshop resulted in:
✅ The AIM-Net Training Roadmap that will guide the AHA Centre and the Network in significantly improving the capacities and capabilities of the NDMOs in terms of disaster information management and information systems interoperability
✅The forthcoming AIM-Net activities and NDMOs involvement: webinar series and research study on data standards and frameworks and existing collaboration mechanisms
✅Setting the agenda of the 4th AIM-Net Meeting
