It's going to be a busy week ahead! The AHA Centre It's going to be a busy week ahead! The AHA Centre is having a full-week of planning sessions to develop the new AHA Centre Work Plan 2025. It started with a reflection on achievements and lessons from the past five years. 

This new cycle of work plan is designed following the outcomes and outputs assigned to the AHA Centre under the new #ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER) Work Programme 2021-2025, endorsed by the ten ASEAN countries in November 2020. The kick-off session today was virtually held involving all AHA Centre's staff. Today's session was also attended by colleagues from the ASEAN Secretariat to provide a brief presentation about the AADMER Work Programme 2021-2025.

The second batch of the #ASEAN relief items were m The second batch of the #ASEAN relief items were mobilised by the AHA Centre and the DDPM Thailand yesterday from the DELSA Satellite Warehouse in Chai Nat, Thailand to Samuth Sakhon Province, Thailand in response to the new cases of #COVID19 found among immigrant workers. The handover of the relief items, comprised of 1,000 personal hygiene kits, was attended by Mr Boontham Lertsukekasem, the Director-General of the DDPM Thailand. #OneASEANOneResponse
Singapore’s @temasekfoundation has donated 1.5 m Singapore’s @temasekfoundation has donated 1.5 million reusable face masks to the AHA Centre to be distributed to the ASEAN Member States through the National Disaster Management Organisations (NDMOs), as well as Jakarta-based ASEAN centres and entities. The cooperation reflects a strong commitment between the two organisations to fight hand-in-hand against the #COVID19 pandemic in the region. #OneASEANOneResponse

ASEAN is prone to a wide array of natural disasters. Operationalising One ASEAN One Response by @ahacentre is about ASEAN responding to disasters in the region and outside the region as ONE. 

The EU will continue to show solidarity and csupport ASEAN through capacity building in order to achieve FASTER response, mobilise GREATER resources, and establish STRONGER coordination in response to disasters.
