The webinar will feature a presentation from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Philippines on the experience of managing Tropical Cyclone Nalgae (Paeng), followed by a multi-stakeholder panel discussion with representatives from the ASEAN-ERAT, UNDP, World Bank, Philippine Red Cross, and Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Philippines.

On 8-12 June 2026, Executive Director of the AHA C On 8-12 June 2026, Executive Director of the AHA Centre Mr. Lee Yam Ming conducted a productive visit to Nanning and Beijing, with the ASEAN Secretariat, on the invitation of the Ministry of Emergency Management of China.

Building on the outcomes of the 5th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management Plus China, the visit focused on enhancing disaster information sharing, emergency response, and capacity building through site visits and technical exchanges with key Chinese institutions, including the National Disaster Reduction Centre of China (NDRCC), National Institute of Natural Hazards (NINH), and Guangxi Fire and Rescue Brigade.

The engagement marks another step forward in strengthening ASEAN–China collaboration in disaster management.

The ACE-LEDMP Junior Executive Level - Third Batch The ACE-LEDMP Junior Executive Level - Third Batch, 2026 has officially concluded!

22 professionals from the National Disaster Management Organisations (NDMOs) of the ASEAN Member States have completed their 5-month journey to become future leaders in disaster management.

Thank you to the Government of Japan for its support through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), the New Zealand Government for its support through the Strengthening Institutional Capacity of ASEAN in Disaster Management (SICAP) Phase II Project, and all partners who have contributed to the successful implementation of this batch.

On 25-26 May 2026, the ACE-LEDMP Junior Executive On 25-26 May 2026, the ACE-LEDMP Junior Executive Level - Third Batch, 2026 held an interactive session on "Crisis Communications and Facilitations for Disaster Management" facilitated by the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management & Humanitarian Assistance @cfedmha.

Through the session, participants gained fundamental understanding of communication in disaster management, including how to tailor messages to specific audiences and develop a Crisis Communication Plan, and gained practical experience through a simulated press conference.

The ACE-LEDMP Phase II is primarily supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).

Through the session “Introduction to Disaster Re Through the session “Introduction to Disaster Recovery in ASEAN,” participants of the ACE-LEDMP Junior Executive Level - Third Batch, 2026 explored how the Post-Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) serves as a vital tool to assess damage, loss, and recovery needs.

Lead by UNDP and co-facilitated by the European Union, UN Women, UNFPA, UNICEF, ILO, and CBi, the session guided participants to analyse impacts, develop recovery strategies, and translate them into actionable plans, while gaining insights from both donor and country recipient perspectives.

Through the ACE-LEDMP Junior Executive Level - Third Batch, 2026 session on "Displacement in Disasters under Changing Climate: Migration, Displacement, and Camp Management Introduction" facilitated by @unmigration on 19-20 May 2026, participants gained valuable insights into climate-induced movement and camp management.
