Meet Nadya Devina Zharfan – Disaster Management Meet Nadya Devina Zharfan – Disaster Management Analyst at BNPB Indonesia and Member of the ASEAN Emergency Response and Assessment Team.

As a relatively new member, Nadya shares how joining the ASEAN-ERAT became a foundation for her understanding of regional disaster response. From learning the full flow of operations during the 16th Induction Course, honing her skills at the Refresher Course, to applying her knowledge during the ASEAN Regional Disaster and Emergency Response Exercise 2025 (ARDEX‑25), every step has strengthened her readiness for real deployment.

Nadya’s experience, made possible with the support of the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), shows the importance of continuous learning, adaptation, and repeated exposure to ASEAN disaster response mechanisms to shape confident and capable responders.
