During the visit, we shared insights into the AHA Centre's roles and mechanisms, followed by a tour of the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), showcasing how the Centre supports regional disaster monitoring and coordination.

The 2nd Workshop on the ASEAN Emergency Telecommun The 2nd Workshop on the ASEAN Emergency Telecommunications Network (ETN) Master Plan was successfully held on 31 March–1 April 2026 in Vang Vieng, Lao PDR, bringing together representatives from ASEAN Member States, JAIF Management Team, Government of Luxembourg, Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC), and the ASEAN Secretariat.

The workshop reviewed progress on ETN implementation, strengthened regional coordination, and advanced concrete action plans, including the introduction of the ASEAN ETN Web Portal to enhance information sharing and operational readiness.

The workshop was followed by the 4th ICT Advisory Group Meeting on 1 April 2026, which provided strategic guidance on the ICT Roadmap for Disaster Management.

The AHA Centre extends its sincere appreciation to NDMO Lao PDR for hosting the events, and to the Government of Japan for its continued support for the development of the ETN Master Plan through the Japan‑ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).

The AHA Centre had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. M The AHA Centre had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Megumi Tsukizoe, Deputy Director, Disaster Risk Reduction Group, Global Environment Department of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and representatives of the JICA HQ and JICA Indonesia to our office on 8 April 2026.

Following a tour of the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), the AHA Centre and JICA continued with a productive discussion and exchange of views, exploring potential areas of partnership in regional coordination for disaster management.

On 2 April 2026, over 200 partners and stakeholder On 2 April 2026, over 200 partners and stakeholders gathered at the 7th AADMER Partnership Conference in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Hosted by Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) as Chair of the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM), co-organised by the AHA Centre and ASEAN Secretariat, and supported by the European Union through EU-SAHA, the Conference served as a platform to familiarise the new AADMER Work Programme 2026–2030 and explore potential collaboration in its implementation.

At the Conference, various partner countries and organisations expressed their support to the five priority programmes of the AADMER Work Programme 2026-2030. Together, ASEAN and its partners continue working towards a region of disaster‑resilient nations, guided by the ASEAN Community Vision 2045.
